Citadel Colour Stirland Mud is the ultimate, mess-free solution for decorating your miniature bases with an incredibly realistic mud effect. Part of the specialized Technical range, this product features a thick, heavy-bodied acrylic paste loaded with micro-granules designed to simulate the physical volume, texture, and rough grain of wet earth and churned battlefield soil.
The shade is a deep, rich dark brown, perfectly capturing the look of grim dark trench systems, soggy fantasy forests, or ruined landscapes. It is the definitive choice for basing entire armies quickly or for stippling directly onto vehicle tracks, cloaks, and leg armor to simulate dried or fresh mud accumulation from active combat.
Application is effortless: simply spread the paste across the base using an old brush or a specialized modeling spatula (such as the Citadel Texture Tool). It dries into a hard, durable, textured matte finish that responds beautifully to a wash of Agrax Earthshade and a light drybrush of lighter browns to maximize the gritty details.
